    His 'n' Hers

His 'n' Hers pits Mr and Mrs O’Higgins against each other apparently in the manner of the movie, Mr & Mrs Smith… In reality this is in the good humoured tradition of the great Johnny Griffin - Eddie Lockjaw Davis group, with some of the best arrangements borrowed from that repertoire, too! Although the two tenors were of different temperaments both musically and emotionally their ideas complemented and enhanced one another.

Judith is a forensic pathologist, saxophonist and author. She was born in Hilden, Germany. She studied medicine and music education in Münster, finished university in Hamburg and became a forensic pathologist. She now lives in London with her husband Dave O'Higgins. Judith produced and played on the critically acclaimed Abstract Truth Big Band recording made under the direction of Jörg Achim Keller at the famous Abbey Road Studio in 2015. She is undoubtedly the best forensic pathologist jazz saxophonist living in London!

Dave’s playing credits include Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Smith, Cleo Laine & John Dankworth, Joey Calderazzo, Joe Locke, Martin Taylor, Jim Mullen, Matt Bianco, Jason Rebello, Clark Tracey Sextet, Peter Gabriel and Jamie Cullum. Dave is twice winner of Best Tenor Sax at the British Jazz Awards. "O’Higgins, well - does he know just how good he is? When it comes to bop of any kind, on either soprano or tenor saxophones, he is, live, one of our few world-class players, capable of holding his own with the Americans" - Sholto Byrnes, The Independent.
