Tonight our good friend and rock solid bass player Geoff Gascoyne heads a quartet featuring a young vocalist currently attracting a lot of positive attention, Joshua Kyle. After six years of touring and recording with Jamie Cullum (alongside tonight's drummer Sebastiaan de Krom), Geoff's latest CD on Jazzizit Records 'Pop-Bop' is an album of his favourite pop songs from the last 30 years arranged for a jazz quartet. "Josh Kyle is the vocalist I've been waiting for. In a world hungry for more male jazz singers, Josh delivers in spades.
