Henry Lowther has had a varied career since the 60’s working with both the Gil Evans and George Russell Orchestras, John Dankworth, Peter King, Kenny Wheeler, Loose Tubes and John Surman on the jazz scene, to Manfred Mann, John Mayall and Keef Hartley at the legendary Woodstock Festival.
Glasgow born Jim Mullen is possibly best known for his long association with the legendary sax player Dick Morrisey. Their popular group Morrisey Mullen was at the forefront of the jazz-funk movement in the UK, producing seven albums. A dynamic and forceful player, his deep affinity with the blues gives his music a quality of earthy excitement.
